Synology’s Hyper Backup is a reliable and multi-directional backup solution offering data deduplication and compression. You can back up from various source folders, including external USB drives, another Synology NAS, rsync servers, or from public cloud services like Google Drive or Synology C2, and protect your data against malicious attacks and encryption-based ransomware threats. Also supported are a variety of RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, Basic, and Synology Hybrid, each of which provides performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. For those who do not require RAID support, JBOD is also supported.
